Happy Ascension Sunday!

As of May 29th, it has been 40 days since our Easter Celebrations! We give thanks to God for our newly baptized sons and daughters of the church. Our parish is blessed to welcome these new members and continue to foster their faith in the parish family of Saint Joan of Arc.

The Ascension of the Lord is transferred to June 1st and will be celebrated at all the Sunday regular Mass times.

This is the great commission of our Lord to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He remains with us through his Spirit and we are his witnesses. Our Blessed Lord ascends into the heavenly sanctuary and draws our hearts to himself as we navigate on this earth living our baptismal call to holiness. Let’s continue to be inspired by what the Lord does to call the lost, the broken, the confused and seekers of the truth to the fullness of the Catholic Church. Many are preparing for this great gift of the church and we can offer our prayers and support for those around us.

La Ascensión del Señor

¡Feliz Domingo de la Ascensión!

El 29 de mayo, ¡cumplimos 40 días desde nuestras celebraciones de Pascua! Damos gracias a Dios por nuestros hijos e hijas recién bautizados. Nuestra parroquia tiene la bendición de dar la bienvenida a estos nuevos miembros y continuar fomentando su fe en la familia parroquial de Santa Juana de Arco.

La Ascensión del Señor se traslada al 1 de junio y se celebrará en todas las misas dominicales regulares. Esta es la gran comisión de nuestro Señor: bautizar en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. Él permanece con nosotros por medio de su Espíritu y nosotros somos sus testigos. Nuestro Bendito Señor asciende al santuario celestial y atrae nuestros corazones hacia sí mientras navegamos por esta tierra viviendo nuestro llamado bautismal a la santidad.

Sigamos inspirándonos en lo que el Señor hace para llamar a los perdidos, a los quebrantados, a los confundidos y a los buscadores de la verdad a la plenitud de la Iglesia Católica. Muchos se están preparando para este gran regalo de la Iglesia, y podemos ofrecer nuestras oraciones y apoyo a quienes nos rodean.
