Labor Day

Happy Sunday!

I hope and pray everyone has a restful and reinvigorating Labor Day Weekend. This week I will be heading to Denver to attend the Catholic Medical Association’s Annual Education Conference. This is part of my role in the Medical Ethics office here in the diocese. The conference is an opportunity for medical professionals, medical students, and clergy to come together and discuss issues that affect Catholics in healthcare. It also offers many insightful talks to offer Catholic perspectives on new and old problems. Please pray for me for a fruitful conference and safe travels. I will return next weekend in time for the 10:30am Mass.

This weekend we are beginning registration for the Porters of St. Joseph. Thank you to all the men who are generously signing up to serve and protect our parish. If you are on the fence I encourage you to sign up and attend the training that will be offered on October 1. The more men who sign up means we will be able to distribute the work more broadly. Thank you for considering this important ministry!

Registration is open for the Men’s Day of Recollection on September 24th. This day will be led by Fr. Jonathan Kalisch O.P. Fr. Jonathan works for the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus in Connecticut. We look forward to him joining us! On October 15th we will be having a Women’s Day of Recollection led by Carol Restaine. Carol has lived as a missionary in Honduras for nearly 20 years serving the poor and sharing the Gospel. Registration for the women’s day will open at the end of September, please mark your calendars!

Have a great week and know of my prayers!

In Christ,

Fr. Connealy

DOMINGO 23 DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO

¡Feliz domingo!

Padre Connealy
