Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

What is Parish Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration? Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is a Eucharistic devotion whereby members of a Parish (or some other entity) unite in making continuous adoration before the Most Blessed Sacrament (in most cases, exposed) throughout the twenty-four hours of the day, seven days a week.

Is Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration the only type of Eucharistic adoration apart from the Mass? No. There are several other forms. However, a most popular and grace-laden program is the full-time, permanent adoration of Our Lord exposed in a monstrance in which adorers commit themselves to at least one assigned hour each week.

Why is it necessary to have permanent exposition? People are far more appreciative of exposition and will thus be more responsible in keeping their Holy Hour with Our Lord. What more wonderful way to witness to our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament than by faithful attendance at a weekly hour of Adoration. A prayerful, silent yet quite clear profession of faith. Never forgetting the words of Our Lord when He gave His Eucharistic discourse. "Indeed, this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him, shall have eternal life. Him will I raise up on the last day." (John 6:40)

What is another good reason for establishing Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration? To provide an easy, attractive and practical way of rendering God adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition.

Besides prayer for the success of the program, what is the most important single factor in a successful Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration program? The wholehearted support of the laity.

What are some of the spiritual benefits and graces generally attributed to the establishment of a Parish Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration program? Increased Mass attendance and Confessions. Increase in priestly and religious vocations.

• The return of fallen-away Catholics and conversions to the faith.
• Heightened spirituality. "Personal sanctification and the sanctification of all Catholic action." (Pope Pius XII)
• Marriages restored.
• Greater unity.
• Inner peace.

With the high rate of crime, isn't it dangerous to go around the clock, 24 hours a day? Pope John Paul II has said that all the evils of the world could be overcome through the great power of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. The devil is put to flight wherever Jesus is adored in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Many Pastors report that since Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration has been established in their Parishes, crime has declined, particularly in crime ridden and dangerous areas. Believe that Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament is the Lord who cast out demons, calmed the sea and is infinitely more powerful than any law enforcement agency on this earth. "Fear is useless. What is needed is trust." (Mark 5:36)

Does Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration place any added burden on the Pastor of a Parish? No, it should not. This is a lay apostolate, and it is lay men and women who take the responsibility of organizing and covering the hours.

ADORACIÓN EUCARÍSTICA PERPETUAL

1. ¿Qué es la Adoración Eucarística Perpetua de la Parroquia? La Adoración Eucarística Perpetua es una devoción eucarística en la que los miembros de una Parroquia (o de alguna otra entidad) se unen para hacer adoración continua ante el Santísimo Sacramento expuesto (la mayoría de los casos) durante las veinticuatro horas del día, siete días a la semana.

2. ¿Es la Adoración Eucarística Perpetua el único tipo de adoración eucarística aparte de la Misa? No. Hay varias formas. Sin embargo, el programa más conocido y lleno de gracia es la adoración permanente de Nuestro Señor expuesto en una custodia en la que los adoradores se comprometen por lo menos una hora cada semana.

3. ¿Por qué es necesario tener una exposición permanente? La gente está mucho más agradecida por la exposición y por lo tanto será más responsable en el mantenimiento de su Hora Santa con Nuestro Señor. ¿Qué mejor manera del testimonio de nuestra creencia en la Presencia Real de Jesucristo en el Santísimo Sacramento que por la asistencia fiel a una hora semanal de Adoración. Una profesión de fe en oración, silenciosa pero muy clara. Nunca olvidando las palabras de Nuestro Señor cuando pronunció su discurso eucarístico. "En verdad, esta es la voluntad de mi Padre, que todo aquel que ve al Hijo y cree en Él, tendrá vida eterna. Con El me levantaré en el último día ". (Juan 6:40)

4. ¿Cuál es otra buena razón para establecer la Adoración Eucarística Perpetua? Proporcionar una manera fácil, atractiva y práctica de rendir a Dios la adoración, la acción de gracias, la reparación y la petición.

5. Además de la oración por el éxito del programa, ¿cuál es el factor más importante en un exitoso programa de Adoración Eucarística Perpetua? El apoyo incondicional de los laicos.

6. ¿Cuáles son algunos de los beneficios y gracias espirituales atribuidos al establecimiento de un programa parroquial de Adoración Eucarística Perpetua?

• Aumento de asistencia a la Misa y Confesiones.
• Aumento de vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas.
• El retorno de los católicos caídos y las conversiones a la fe.
• Mayor espiritualidad. "La santificación personal y la santificación de toda acción católica".

7. Con la alta tasa de delincuencia, ¿no es peligroso atender las 24 horas del día? El Papa Juan Pablo II ha dicho que todos los males del mundo podrían ser superados a través del gran poder de la Adoración Eucarística Perpetua. El diablo es puesto a la fuga donde Jesús es adorado en el Santísimo Sacramento. Muchos Pastores relatan que desde que se estableció la Adoración Eucarística Perpetua en sus Parroquias, el crimen ha disminuido, particularmente en áreas peligrosas. Se cree que Jesús en el Santísimo Sacramento es el Señor que echó fuera demonios, calmó el mar y es infinitamente más poderoso que cualquier agencia de la ley en esta tierra. "El miedo es inútil, lo que se necesita es confianza". (Marcos 5:36)

8. ¿La Adoración Eucarística Perpetua coloca alguna carga adicional sobre el Pastor de una Parroquia? No, no debería. Se trata de un apostolado laico, y son los laicos y las laicas quienes asumen la responsabilidad de organizar y cubrir las horas.
