SOLTeen welcomes all high-school teens every Monday night 6:30-8:15pm for food, fellowship, and talks. Optional Mass begins in the chapel at 6:00pm.
We are using the Life Teen and Focus curriculum as our teaching guidelines for this semester's high school ministry. Each meeting will be structured in one of the following ways:
- Evangelization nights which will focus solely on fostering a love for and deepening the understanding of the Catholic faith.
- Prayer nights which aim to assist the teens as they journey in their relationship with God and will include Adoration and an opportunity for Confession at the end of the night.
- Social Nights in which the teens will have the opportunity to develop virtuous friendships and camaraderie while participating in games and social activities.
This semester we will be looking at Salvation History in the light of the six main covenants found in Sacred Scriptures. This journey through the Old and New Testaments will be a foundation on which to explore the depth and beauty of the Lord's plan for our salvation and the restoration of human ability to see God in His true Image. We will continue to discuss and participate in various prayer traditions in order to encourage the use of prayer in daily life. This semester we will also be discussing the lives of various Saints and how we can utilize our knowledge of the saints in daily life.
